| MASTERCUTTING LEVEL I
DURATION: 5 days Precision haircutting began in England 25 years ago. Initially, new techniques for haircuts were created with each season in order to achieve a new look and maintain a high fashion image. As time passed and hundreds of different looks were created, knowledge regarding the rules that apply when cutting hair also increased. The past 10 years have seen many different looks, but very few new cutting techniques (mainly texturizing techniques). However, the knowledge acquired during this lengthy period has enabled the industry to create new looks all the time without having to invent new haircutting techniques. The Mastercutting techniques will teach you the “how and why” of sensational haircuts. | ||
| MASTERCUTTING LEVEL II
DURATION: 5 days In the second phase of the Mastercutting program, students will be evaluated and certified in “The Principles of Design Cutting” and the execution of the “DCU Master Cuts” they were introduced to in Mastercutting Level I. They will learn new terminology and acquire techniques that will allow them to be creative in executing cuts and styles that relate to individual face shapes, personalities and lifestyles. Students will practice on mannequins with final execution on live models. They will be evaluated on their presentation skills, as well as their use of cutting terminology.
DURATION: 5 days In the third phase of the Mastercutting program, students will be become true experts in the art of Mastercutting. All advanced or specialty classes include:
